Steve Gillman's Books
By Steve Gillman
The following are a few of the books I have written. Three
of them are currently available in paper versions, and the rest
shown here are available in various e-book formats, including
PDF, Kindle, Nook, and iBooks.

101
Weird Ways to Make Money is all about uncommon jobs
and businesses. It deals with ways in which people have actually
made money. Yes, that could mean missing out on some possibly
profitable businesses, but I opted for only proven jobs
and ventures in 101 Ways. Some of the chapters cover...
Being a repo-man
Selling aromatherapy candles
Crime scene cleanup
Traveling ESL teacher
Selling specialty firewood
Profiting from virtual real estate in online worlds
Working as a casino dealer
Treasure hunting
Renting rugs to college students
Providing green funerals
Pet sitting
Working in surveillance
Most of the ways covered do not have extensive requirements,
and many can be done with little or no investment. With all jobs
I look at how to make more money as an employee, or how to parlay
the experience into a business.
Secrets
of Lucky People was published in 2008 as a paperback.
As is perhaps appropriate for the author of such a book, I got
lucky and a Japanese publisher picked up my book as well. I have
no idea what that version says, but hopefully it is similar to
my English version, which simply put, is about how to have more
good luck in your life.
Beyond
Mental Slavery - You think you control you mind,
but your mind is often the one in control. Ideas, biases and
internal dialogs are mistaken for your own thinking--for your
self. But they are not you, and they don't look for truth. In
fact, these mental programs seek only to perpetuate themselves.
Beyond Mental Slavery looks at many of the various reactive
processes and biases that become your master, determining your
subsequent thoughts and the actions. It points out the limitations
inherent in ordinary thinking. Then it lays out steps you can
take to escape the rule of the reactive mind - to gain a new
intellectual and personal freedom. You can have a more powerful
mind, but also one that is more useful and under control. You
can visit Beyond
Mental Slavery .com to read excerpts.
E-Books
Although I have been writing essays, stories, poems and more
since I was a child, my first books weren't written until Ana
and I had been doing business online for a year or so. I published
them as e-books, and I sell them on various websites.
As part of various promotions, my ebooks have been featured
alongside those of: Jack Canfield (author of the Chicken Soup
for the Soul series of books), Dr. Wayne W. Dyer (American
self-help advocate, author - famous for Your Erroneous Zones,
one of the best-selling books of all time), Marci Shimoff (author
of best-selling book, Happy for No Reason), and many other
authors. You can click any of the titles below to get more information.
100
Ways To Increase Your Mind Power - Actually more
like 150 ways, but I didn't want to change the title. This link
is for the PDF version, but the book is also available on Amazon's
Kindle and Barnes and Noble's Nook reader.
Problem
Solving Power - All about creative problem solving
techniques. Apply the techniques spelled out here and you can
have a hundred new ideas today. This link is for the PDF version,
but the book is also available on Amazon's Kindle and Barnes
and Noble's Nook reader.
Mind Power
Meditation - This is free by email (use that link).
It is a good general guide to meditation, but is specifically
aimed at how to use it for improving one's mind.
Ultralight
Backpacking Secrets - How to go really light when
you are backpacking. I have camped overnight many miles from
the nearest road, and with temperatures below freezing, yet with
only nine pounds on my back--and that includes all food and water.
This link is for the PDF version, but the book is also available
on Amazon's Kindle and Barnes and Noble's Nook reader.
The Thousand
Mile Hole - This book is about how to think more
deeply and creatively. The link is for the Amazon Kindle version;
it is also available on Nook. I also have a website dedicated
to the book, with excerpts and more, here: http://www.thethousandmilehole.com
Note: If you do not have a Kindle reader, it costs
nothing to get the version that you use on your computer, which
is available here: Get

At Your Own Risk Series
These are a series of essay books I wrote and published in
2012. They each have ten essays on topics that range from guilt
to welfare to atheism. They have been published only in electronic

one:

Those are some of the books that I have out there. You can
also search "Steve Gillman" on Amazon to see a few
others, including one on how to detect lies and another on how
to make money renting rooms in your house (this was how I paid
off the mortgage loan on my first home).
